Luminaire 1992

Rezerection Luminaire, held in 1992 at the Royal Highland Showground in Edinburgh, was one of the early high-water marks of Scotland’s rave explosion. It was part of a series of themed events that helped define the Rezerection legacy, combining cutting-edge electronic music with elaborate stage design and a fiercely loyal crowd. Luminaire stood out for its dazzling visuals and euphoric atmosphere, drawing in thousands of ravers from across the UK who were hungry for the new sounds of hardcore, techno, and breakbeat.

The lineup was a who’s who of early ’90s rave royalty. UK heavyweights like Carl Cox, Joey Beltram, Micky Finn, The Prodigy, N-Joi, Suburban Delay, Q-Tex, Marc Smith, and the late Tom Wilson kept the local energy pulsing. One standout moment from the night was Suburban Delay’s performance of “Energy Rush,” which has since become a cult classic tune among the Scottish rave community. We have Suburban Delay’s full set all edited up 5-6 cameras, its amazing.
