The Rhythmic State – Another World – STV Chartbite

The Rhythmic State – Another World (STV Chartbite, 1994)

Back in 1994, The Rhythmic State’s iconic track Another World made its way onto STV’s Chartbite—one of the few places Scottish dance music could break through to a mainstream audience at the time. Double Vision Scotland handled the full video production, capturing the raw, industrial energy that defined the scene.

The shoot took place on an industrial estate in Craigton, Glasgow—cold concrete, steel shutters, and that unmistakable mid‑90s atmosphere that suited the track perfectly. Everything was filmed on location, fast, mobile, and guerrilla‑style, the way so much of Scotland’s rave culture was documented back then.

Editing was completed by Double Vision Scotland, cutting the footage into a tight, energetic piece that matched the pulse of the Another World EP. The release itself landed in 1994 and quickly became a standout moment for The Rhythmic State, cementing their place in Scotland’s dance music history.

This Chartbite feature remains one of those snapshots of the era—when local crews, local artists, and local TV all collided to push the sound of Scotland’s rave generation into living rooms across the country.

The EP featured vocals by Amanda Gent, with Andy Cocozza on keyboards and Nick Williams contributing both keyboards and MC duties. The production and writing were credited to Cocozza and Williams
